Using Powerpoint

Some of the downloads provided include Powerpoint presentations.
If you are not used to using Powerpoint, after clicking on the link you can either choose to run the file or save it. We would suggest saving it for future viewing but, if you choose to run the file it will open once it has finished downloading. (these files can be quite large, so don't think nothing is happening!) When it opens, you will be on the editing screen. Tap the f5 key and the first slide will fill the screen. Run through the show by tapping the DOWN arrow on the keyboard (you may prefer to use the Space Bar as it is easier to locate whilst looking at the screen). If you should want to go backwards to a previous slide, tap the UP arrow key.

If you choose to save the file, simply locate the file where you saved it, double click on it, and then proceed as above.

In order to view Powerpoint presentations you need to have Microsoft Powerpoint installed on your computer. However, if you don't all is not lost. There is a free downloadable Powerpoint viewer which allows you to view the slideshows but not create them.

Nursery Sacks Course

This 6 week course allows parents (or others) to create, from scratch, a sack containing all of the props required for singing nursery rhymes with their child! Each session lasts 2 hours and everyone has great fun.

Our course is now over, but if you would like to join in one, please ontact the school and we may be able to have another.

Given you access to the Powerpoint we used

There may be some features which don't work  as well if you use this   version

Booster Groups

A quick reminder that booster groups have now started for Maths led by myself and Mrs Worrall. Each group of children will spend 45 minutes, for a 7 week period on Wednesday after school, covering areas they feel need more explanation. During that time your child will develop in confidence, gain a deeper insight into mathematical techniques and strategies, be able to verbalise their thinking and ideas, demonstrate an improvement in understanding. Children will be able to discuss and ask questions freely within a supportive and encouraging environment with children of a similar ability.
