Our School

As the information required on school websites continues to proliferate, we have re-grouped our index in the hope that this will make it easier for you to find what you are looking for.

Our school is a Voluntary Aided Church of England Primary. Our church is
St Leonard’s, the parish church of Middleton. What that means is that our Governing body is responsible for the long term running of the school. We have very close links with the church and the Rector is a key member of our Board of Governors. Several of our governors are appointed directly by the Manchester Diocese, the others being elected from the community, parents and staff.

We are at a very exciting stage in the development of our school as we move towards becoming a two form entry school. Children are admitted according to age into the relevant class, with our Nursery class being for our youngest children then Reception, Year 1, Year 2, up to Year 6. Our children leave at the end of Year 6 and go on to a number of different secondary schools.

The school is currently organised into two Phases led by Senior staff.

Mrs. J. Jastrzebski oversees EYFS and KS1.

Mr. Brown - KS2 and Forest School.

These seniors report to Mrs. F. Wainwright - Assistant Head Teacher.
