ADMISSION ARRANGEMENTS – Guidance for 2017-2018


Middleton Parish Primary School is a Church of England School provided by the Diocese of Manchester and is maintained by the Rochdale Local Authority as a Voluntary Aided School. The school’s Governing Body is the Admissions Authority and is responsible for taking decisions on applications for Admissions. For the school year commencing September 2017, the Governing Body has set its planned Admission number at 60.


Admission to the school will be made by the Governing Body subject to the published criteria which will be used to form a priority order if there are more applications for Admission than the school has places available.

Making an application

Applications for admission to the school should be made on the common application form enclosed with the Local Authority’s brochure and also if the application is being sought on church attendance the school’s own supplementary form is to be completed.   The common application form must be returned to the local authority direct and the supplementary form returned to school.  All applications must be received by 15th January 2017.
