The Great Fire of London

Today has been Year 2's launch day for our up and coming topic of The Great Fire of London. We started the day off on a  treasure hunt around the school finding different clues that led us to cheese and wine (grape juice) in a dug out hole in the forest. We discussed what was buried, who had buried it and why.

The classes then made time travelling devices with cardboard boxes to take us back in time to 1666 to Pudding Lane. We watched a video showing the great fire.

We discussed through the day what we already knew about the great fire and devised some questions we wanted to find the answers to.

In the afternoon we all went to the forest to learn about fire safety. Mr Brown lit a fire in the forest and we all discussed this together.

Attached are some pictures about our day!
