Since the COVID19 outbreak, Rochdale has seen a significant rise in applications for benefits, meaning increased numbers of children are becoming eligible for Benefit-Related Free School Meals. Should you think you may be eligible for free school meals and have not yet claimed, please apply online at: 

 (Free school meals vouchers will be processed by school and will be emailed to those parents/carers that are eligible). 


During school closure children will spend more time online, it is vitally important to keep your children safe online. Support for parents and carers about online safety can be found here:

Our curriculum for each term is published as a "booklet" which will allow you to refer to it whenever you wish. The link below will take you to a pdf version which you will be able to view on the screen or, if you have misplaced your hard copy, print out for yourself. With pdf you have the advantage of being able to increase or decrease the size of the text would you so wish.

Home Learning

Picture news are releasing weekly virtual assemblies that can be watched at home and keep your children up to date with everything that is going on in the world. Visit their vimeo channel on the link below. New weekly assemblies will be available from 9am each Friday morning.

Purple Mash

I have written you all an email to respond to on the Purple Mash website and will send a new email every Tuesday morning.  Login to your account and to to the search bar and write 2email.  Once 2email pops up click on it and you will have an email from Mrs Jastrzebski.  When you have time send me an email back.

Do keep logging on to the Purple Mash Website as I will be adding new work tasks for you to do.  I am really enjoying seeing the work that you are completing on here.



By the end of this year your child should be able to read and spell all the Year 2 Common Exception words.  A copy of these is in the files section of this page.  Why not set your child the challenge to learn 10 of these words each week?
